About the Project and the KOMUNIPASS. A brief summary.

Needs and Challenges: Two huge counter-productive challenges for every single society and organisation

Our global economic system is ultimately enforcing international growth for every society and organisation for the sake of achieving their own prosperity.

This inevitably results in an initially slow but then rapidly increasing change within organisations and societies – a change that brings forth intercultural demographic and organisational structures, ownership and power relations, as well as an increasing international exchange in virtually every country on the globe.

Global change, along with the exponentially growing world population, is definitely unavoidable, and it entails two huge counter-productive challenges for every single society, organisation, and presumably for every individual, as well:

  • potential distribution conflicts due to the increasing shortage of resources, and
  • rapidly progressing nationalism and radicalism triggered by resistance to change and the unknown.

These challenges can only be mastered by creating prosperity and they require the rational use of resources. For this reason, sustainable innovations in organisations, technologies, economy and politics are highly required on a global scale – and this can only be achieved through the mutually beneficial collaboration of competent individuals.

Creating Prosperity and the required rational use of resources can finally only be achieved by Competent Intercultural Collaboration:

Challenges for organisations:

  • intercultural organisational structures
  • changing intercultural ownerships and power relations
  • efficient & successful cooperation (internal plus external)
  • inexpensive global education
  • building organisational culture during global growth & integration

Challenges for politicians:

  • changing intercultural ownerships and power relations on financial markets and real markets - business does not know nationality and ignores national interests
  • social change in societies / intercultural demographic change
  • Global Challenges (e.g. financial meltdown, climate, social problems) cannot be solved by national thinking

International experience is not equivalent with intercultural competence – competence development requires a well-defined process.

The problem is that most people, despite intensive international exchange and experience, do not have the competence to work together with individuals who are different from them.

International experience and intercultural competence are often erroneously identified as one and the same. This confusion is often caused by the supposition that interaction with people belonging to different cultures automatically results in intercultural competence. It is a proven fact that this is wrong.

Intercultural competence is a personality development process that includes, among others, conscious self-reflection. A stay abroad or intercultural teamwork can only become one part of the competence development process once effective cultural sensitization has taken place.

Access to high quality education empowers people to develop their own competencies! In a time of rapidly increasing changes, it is through competence alone that people can become capable of active and self-determined participation in public life and able to maintain a liveable society through sustainable innovations.

Objective and Purpose: Promote intercultural competence worldwide for as many people as possible

Intercultural competence and the ability for adequate intercultural communication are crucial for effective collaboration.

The KOMUNIKI PROJECT is meant to contribute to the effective understanding and collaboration between people of different cultural backgrounds and mentalities.

The aim is therefore to promote intercultural competence worldwide for as many people as possible, or at least to achieve intercultural understanding.

The KOMUNIKI PROJECT develops, finances and implements all educational projects that serve this objective on a global scale fully on its own.

KOMUNIPASS is the unique and innovative educational concept that covers all areas of effective intercultural competence development


KOMUNIPASS is the most efficient, individual, inexpensive, and effective way to develop intercultural competence for yourself and in any organisation

    The KOMUNIKI PROJECT was launched at the beginning of 2013 and pursues non-profit purposes only. All proceeds are meant to serve the realisation of the KOMUNIKI PROJECT, which is supported by the KOMUNIKI FOUNDATION UG, a non-profit organisation that operates in accordance with the German tax authorities.

    KOMUNIKI is an accredited and registered non-profit organisation (tax number 202/5709/0474), and in accordance with the German Regulation of Taxation (AO; §§ 51-68) ) it is exempted from corporation and trade tax.

    In accordance with the article “Tax-privileged Purposes“ of the General Tax Code, the organisation pursues non-profit purposes exclusively and directly. Income shall be immediately and solely used for company purposes and shall not be, under any circumstances, be distributed, among others, to its shareholders. Otherwise, there is a risk of derecognition of the organisation’s non-profit status, which may consequently result in its dissolution.

    Membership fees and donations are fully tax deductible as special expenses.

    KOMUNIKI is authorised to issue donation receipts for membership fees and donations by means of officially prescribed forms (§ 50 par.1 of the Income Tax Implementation Regulations).
